Hi
This little site is about things that happen to grab my attention. Sometimes they’re pretty simple, and sometimes they’re a bit more complex. Not much more mind you. A lot of my life is musical, so you’ll find a disproportionate amount of posts that happen to be on music in some ways …my general ideas, feelings and thoughts as well as songs I write, bands/people I play with and various musical points of interest. I also dabble in poetry and photography, just not as much as I’d like to.
The rest of the posts are a mix of personal, family/friend related, as well as things that sorta fill the space – both fleeting and newsworthy. I blog because it’s a way to express myself, which is nice for me because I’m somewhat shy. It’s also therapeutic in a sense …not that I need therapy though! Not yet at least. Yes, sometimes it’s like homework – but more often than not I come away with a new perspective on many things …and I hope at times it challenges you the same way. I will admit though, that I’ve had thoughts about pulling the plug at times. Actually many times -lol. Some posts will get too personal, while others will have been rushed and seemingly placed as filler. But I’ve decided to let the chips fall where they may. If anything, it’ll be neat to look back on in 10 years time. Knock on digital wood!
Me? I’m a single guy from Edmonton, Alberta (originally from Saskatchewan), and hit 43 in July. I enjoy sugar of all forms (primarily slurpees and chocolate bars), like to keep fit, am pretty laid back, gig more with the bass because it’s easier to find work, use a mac, don’t watch much tv, look for the best in people, don’t swear (in public), not overly communicative, rent an 80 yr. old house with a roomie, try to bike as much as I drive, suck at math and speling, run regularly, hardly dream, consider myself a songwriter before a musician, read when I can, like to philosophize (aka offer opinions about things to which I know nothing about), like little kids as far as I can throw them, enjoy sarcasm (see previous remark), hate traffic, wear glasses, don’t have any enemies, more of a momma’s boy, have a taste for spicy foods, most likely emotionally detached, did motocross as a kid, developed allergies 6-7 years ago, don’t have any tat’s, liberal leanings kinda, favorite color is blue, hate most canadian spellings (see previous remark), coke not pepsi, like chics with short hair, refuse to own a cell phone, still waiting for Mrs. Right and finally if I ever found myself at the pearly gates …I’d hang-out until someone woke me up.
I should also state for official purposes that all images, music and text based stuff found on this site are © 2009 Troy Nowaselski (unless otherwise noted) and all music, lyrics and poetry is registered through the Library of Congress. You’re free to use stuff non-commercially …just link back and let me know about it. And if you want to use something commercially, please get in touch with me through my email address. Of course any general comments are welcome too – troy.nowaselski (AT) gmail (DOT) com.

I enjoy reading your blogs, Troy…it’s funny I am learning more about you now…after 25 years [barely knew you in high school]…kind of weird, hey?:)
Maybe I should consider doing a blog ofmy own…I too, am shy, and it might be “therapuetic” for me as well [although I don't need therapy].
