the calm

Hey kids. I’m better now. My crisis is over. ;-)

I usually set my expectations fairly high when in comes to getting a grasp on anything music related …so as I kinda thought would be the case, I crammed enough ‘re-learning’ in for these recent rehearsals that I was able to function with minimal catastrophes. There were a few, and still are, but I have a week now to tidy up some problem spots. Ahhhh, the deep breath of relaxation.

Had a great workout tonight as well …which I think went better because of that absent nagging stress. It was pec’s and bi’s today - lol …and I think I’m gonna have to post a post about workouts and stuff. I really don’t put a lot into the ’sport and fitness’ category - it’s a fairly major part of my life and I should balance it out ‘blog’ wise. The thing is though, it’s almost like eating and sleeping …almost habitual, done regularly and without too much thought. On an unrelated topic, I ordered some more ram for old lappy here. The Canadian dollar is still holding its own with the U.S., so I’ve been doing some online shopping as of late. Ram seems to be fairly cheap right now too …but I wanted to boost things up incase I make the jump to Leopard. I’m not in any rush though, and I think it takes a good 3 or 4 months for the little kinks to work themselves out of new operating systems. iLife 08 could also use the extra memory. I am glad that Apple’s iWeb now makes it easy to embed other media (youtube etc.) …they were getting a bit too inclusive with their programs I think - either that or plain old short sighted. Garageband is giving me a little glitch though …but I’ve go some time to work that out now. Yea!

But I must sleep. I’ve been going to bed with Debussy’s Children’s Corner lately (done by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli) and if you’re into that sometimes ‘edgy’ romantic stuff - as I do (and am), you’ll prob. enjoy it. I suggest Doctor Gradus ad Parnassum. l8er.
